Book Review: Tales From the Back Row

After graduating college in April, I finally had time to indulge in one of my favorite pastimes, reading. I took the following months to curate a wonderful list of books to read via Goodreads and quickly started down the list.

While I do love all types of books, I will have to say that “Tales From the Back Row” has quickly become a favorite. Written by Cosmopolitan’s very own online editor, Amy Odell, “Tales From the Back Row” dives right into what it takes to make it as a fashion writer when you don’t share a passion for fashion. Odell’s opinions about fashion and the industry are written in quirky real life lessons she learned along the way.

I couldn’t help but fall more in love with Odell as she worked her way through the fashion industry and was honest about everything a non-fashion person might want to know. It also reminded me of “The Devil Wears Prada,” one of my favorite movies. I thought this book was pretty blunt about the industry and would recommend it to anyone, whether you have a passion for fashion or not.
